Conveniently located near other prominent towns and cities, Centerview is 20 miles west of Whiteman Air Force Base and 55 miles southeast of Kansas City.

With less than 300 residents, there are no major attractions or retailers in Centerview. There are two small restaurants – Grosstown Café and Perron’s Everything & Moore – while other dining establishments like Monetti’s Pizzeria Ristorante & Culton Street Eatery are found in nearby Warrensburg.

While there may not be any major sites to see in Centerview, the city’s convenient location to larger municipalities means that residents will never be bored. Waterfall Park is a popular outdoor space in Independence, while art enthusiasts might like to visit the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art in Sedalia. Kansas City is also a cultural hub for the region, and many visitors enjoy a trip to The Money Museum or Union Station Kansas City.

The Centerview area experiences varied weather conditions. To start the year off, January is the coldest month with an average temperature of 31 degrees Fahrenheit. There are over 20 days in which high temperatures stay below freezing, and several nights will see temperatures fall into negative digits. The summer months in Centerview are hot and humid, as moist air will move into the region from the Gulf of Mexico. July is the hottest month of the year, with a daily average temperature of 81 degrees Fahrenheit. High temperatures surpass 90 degrees Fahrenheit more than 45 days per year, and there are several days in which thermostat readings surpass 100 degrees.
