About Knob Noster, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Knob Noster, MO is located along U.S. Highway 50, about 60 miles to the east of Kansas City. Found in Johnson County, about 2,800 people call the community home, which is located near Whiteman Air Force Base. Knob Noster was originally founded in 1856 and is named for the knobs – or hills – found near the town site. Historically, Knob Noster served as a primarily agricultural community, but with the advent of the local military base, more families have steadily moved into the area.

Arguably the most popular attraction in Knob Noster is Knob Noster State Park. This tranquil retreat is full of oak woodland and is a perfect place for families to spend some quality time together. With miles of trails, hikers, bikers, and horseback riders will enjoy exploring the area. Camping, fishing, kayaking, and picnicking are available, and there is playground equipment in various locations.

If you aren’t an outdoorsy person, there are still plenty of things to do in the Knob Noster area. The Royal Oaks Golf Course is a great place to play a round on a warm spring day. Wine enthusiast might like to taste some of the local wines from Montserrat Vineyards or Bristle Ridge Vineyards. There are also many unique local restaurants, including Tequila Jalison Mexican Restaurant, Miller & Sons BBQ, and Panther Steakhouse.

The Knob Noster region experiences four distinct seasons throughout the year, which is common in humid continental climates. HVAC repair and installation professionals recommend that citizens invest in periodic climate control system servicing to ensure their systems work properly when needed. In the summer, daytime highs reach well into the 90s, and triple-digit temperatures are also possible. The right central air conditioner is needed to stay comfortable, but the winter months require home heating. A gas or electric furnace – especially one with a high AFUE rating – will ensure residents stay safe in even the coldest conditions.
