About Leeton, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Leeton, Missouri is a small, rural community that offers a family-friendly atmosphere. Located in Johnson County, only about 600 people call the city home. It was originally founded in the 1880s and was named for the original town site owner, J.J. Lee. Leeton is served by the Leeton R-X School District, which includes an elementary school and a combination middle and high school.

With only several hundred people residing here, Leeton isn’t home to any major attractions. There is one restaurant found within the limits – Jodi’s Place – but that is about the extent of the dining establishments. Fortunately, there are plenty of other things to see and do in the surrounding region, including several area golf courses – Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Royal Oaks Golf Course in Knob Noster, and Elm Hills Public Golf Course, among others. Additionally, Sedalia is home to the popular Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, and Kingsville offers the beautiful Powell Gardens.

Found in Central Missouri, Leeton is situated in a humid continental climate zone. Winter months are cold with average daily highs in the mid-30s. Snowfall totals only average at around 15 inches per year, but locals still need to follow certain precautions to stay warm. A reliable electric or gas furnace will keep interior conditions warm throughout the season.

Summers in Leeton are muggy and hot, with daily highs averaging in the mid-80s. Temperatures exceed 90 degrees on an average of 45 days per year, and there are a handful of days each season where thermostat readings reach triple digits. Central air conditioners – especially Energy Star units – can keep indoor temperatures cool at the lowest cost. By investing in one of these new systems, you might be eligible for cost-savings rebates that will make your investment more affordable. Your local Leeton HVAC technician will help you to choose the right system.
