About Lone Jack, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Jackson County, Missouri, Lone Jack is a small city with about 1,100 residents. It was named for a single black jack tree that serves as a local landmark, and it was platted in 1841. Lone Jack is conveniently located near other major communities – Lee’s Summit is 13 miles west, while Kansas City is only 30 miles northwest. To the east, St. Louis is a 235-mile drive along Interstate 70.

There are plenty of things to see and do in the Lone Jack area despite the small population. History buffs may enjoy a trip to the Lone Jack Battlefield Museum found on South Bynum Road. Many residents pick up their groceries at the local Bulldog Express, while others might travel to the Dutch Kountry Market in Knob Noster or Bi Lo Country Mart in Warrensburg. There are several local restaurants found directly in Lone Jack, including the Lone Jack Family Café and China King, and there are many other dining establishments located in nearby Lee’s Summit.

Lone Jack is found within a humid continental climate zone. Residents of the region enjoy four distinct seasons, beginning with a cold winter. Average daily temperatures in January reach the low-30s, although overnight lows tend to fall below freezing or even into the single digits. The region only receives about a foot of snow each year, but residents still need to invest in proper climate controls. A gas or electric furnace – specifically one with a good AFUE rating – will keep residents warm throughout the year.

During the summer, outdoor recreation is popular in the area due to hot and humid conditions. Temperatures surpass 90 degrees over 40 days per year, and there are several days per year where thermostat readings reach triple digits. An Energy Star central air conditioner is a smart investment for healthy circulating air and comfortable temperatures indoors.
